These terms govern your use of Writepaper, available at writepaper.app ("the Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these terms.

1. Account

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information on your account and for everything that happens under it. Keep your sign-in credentials confidential. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use.

2. Credits and payments

  • The Service is metered in credits. One full paper draft costs 50 credits.
  • Credits are sold in packs (Starter: ₹50 / 50 credits; Pro: ₹100 / 100 credits) processed by Razorpay in Indian Rupees. Prices include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise at checkout.
  • Credits are non-transferable, have no cash value outside the Service, and do not expire while your account is active.
  • If a paper draft fails during generation because of a system error, the credits for that paper are automatically refunded to your balance.

3. Refunds

Because credits are digital goods that are consumed immediately when a paper is generated, purchases of unused credit packs are refundable within 7 days of purchase provided no credits from that pack have been spent. Credits that have already been consumed to generate a paper are non-refundable. Contact support@writepaper.app to request a refund.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Submit a Writepaper draft to any venue, journal, or classroom without substantial review, rewriting, and verification by yourself.
  • Generate content that violates the academic integrity policy of any institution or conference you are affiliated with.
  • Generate unlawful, defamatory, harassing, or infringing content.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, resell, or automate the Service beyond normal in-app use.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of the topics, notes, and generated drafts you create with Writepaper. You are solely responsible for verifying the factual accuracy of everything in a draft — including references, datasets, and results — before using it. Grant us a limited licence to store and process your content only as needed to operate the Service.

6. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is". Writepaper drafts are produced by a large language model and may contain errors, outdated information, or content that requires substantive rewriting. Writepaper does not guarantee acceptance at any venue, the verdict of any AI-detection tool, or the correctness of any figure, table, or reference in a generated draft.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Writepaper's total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or reputational damages, including rejection of a submission or academic misconduct findings.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you breach these terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to other users or to the Service. You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time.

9. Changes

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.
